What he works on

Enkhmanlai Khatanbaatar is the Director of the Strategy, Policy and Planning Department at the MDDIC of Mongolia, where he leads strategic planning, policy development, and digital transformation initiatives across the information and communications technology sector.

 With over 17 years of experience in Mongolia’s telecommunications, digital government, and information technology sectors, he has held a range of technical, policy, and senior management positions, including leadership roles at the Information Communications Network state-owned company, the MDDIC, and the E-Mongolia Academy.

His professional focus includes digital government policy, national digital platforms, ICT sector development, digital transformation, and public-sector innovation. He has contributed to the development and implementation of policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening Mongolia’s digital government ecosystem and improving the delivery of citizen-centric digital public services.

 Enkhmanlai holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Sydney, Australia, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST). He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at MUST.
